What Information Do We Collect?

Your Dedicated Developers collect information in two categories:

Further, we have explained this in our Service Agreement Contracts, which you would sign before you contract for our services.
  • Demographic information for improving our marketing, services, and products.

Following are the types of personal information that may be collected, stored, and used:

  • Additional information that you send to us.

All this information is strictly protected. Such information is used only for delivering the content and products that the user has purchased or for which the user has signed up, or for finding other people who may find our information valuable.

A note about demographic information,

We have a contract with information providers that help us better understand people visiting our sites and advertise to those who find our content relevant. We may share PII with such companies solely to help us understand our customers better. We do that only if they have explicit policies to not share our data with any other parties. This technique is known as database marketing. Therefore, the consumer can assume that there is a fair amount of available data about them, including personal data such as buying preferences and education level. There is no central opt-out place. There are efforts underway to reach a standard that can be applied automatically based on browser settings.

We may disclose your information in response to a court order, statute, law, or regulation, or as required by our banks, payment processors, or financial institutions, or whenever there is a need to do so by law, regarding the collection of amounts you may owe to us, and/or to law enforcement authorities whenever we deem it appropriate or necessary. Please note that in such cases, we may not provide you with notice, prior to disclosure based on the relevant law or regulation.

In case it is necessary to identify, contact, or bring an action against someone who may be causing injury to or interfering (intentionally/unintentionally) with our property or rights, your property or rights, other users of our website, services or products, or anyone else, we may disclose your information.

2. Anonymous Usage History (non-PII)

We collect and store information generated automatically when you navigate online through the website. For instance, we may collect information about the internet connectivity of your system that allows us to improve the delivery of our web pages to you, and to measure traffic on the website. We enhance your experience with the site using “cookie” (a standard feature found in browser software). Cookies refer to small files that your web browser places on your hard drive for record-keeping purposes. By showing how and when visitors use the website, cookies help us to deliver advertisements, track user trends and patterns, and identify how many unique users visit us. Cookies also prevent you from re-entering your preferences on certain areas of the website where you may have entered preference information before. Our website may use web beacons (single-pixel graphic files or transparent GIFs) to access cookies and count users visiting the site or open HTML-formatted email messages.

We use the information that we collect from you while you use the site in a variety of ways. For instance, we use the information to customize features or we make offers available to you via email or any other means. We may also provide your information to third parties (service providers, contractors, etc.) for a variety of purposes. We never disclose your confidential information that we get when you engage in our paid services. We have laid out further details in our formal contacts.

We never sell or give your PPI to third parties except as laid out in our Privacy Policy. For instance, neither we sell your information to third party marketing companies nor we sell PPI to Mailing List Marketers. Make sure that you read the sections included in this Policy regarding marketing tools that we use like Facebook and Google.

You must keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily make your personal information available to view by third parties online (such as via email or chat) that information can be viewed, collected and used by others besides us. We hold no responsibility for any unauthorized third-party use of your information.

Some of our ad servers and third-party advertisers that do advertisements on the site may also collect information from you via cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies. These ad-servers or third-party advertisers may use the information that they collect to help present their advertisements, to measure and research the effectiveness of advertisements, or for any other purpose. The collection and use of your information by these ad-servers and third-party advertisers are not covered by our Privacy Policy and governed by the relevant third-party’s privacy policy. The privacy policies of these ad-servers and third-party advertisers may be different from ours. If you have any concerns related to a third party’s use of cookies or web beacon or use of your information, you must visit that party’s site and review its privacy policy.

The site may include links to other sites and provide access to services or products offered by third parties, whose privacy policies are not controlled by us. Whenever you purchase third-party products or services through the site or access any other website, the use of any information that you provide is governed by the privacy policy of the operator of the site in which you are visiting or the provider of such services and products.

We may sometimes release information of our visitors when release is appropriate to comply with the law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users of the site or public.

Please note that we may buy or sell our assets with the growth of our business. In case we sell some or all of our assets (an unlikely event), or one or more of our websites is acquired by another company, information about our users may be among the transferred assets.

Google Analytics

We optimize our business by using some or all of the Google Analytics Features. These features include the following:

  • Remarketing with Google Analytics
  • DoubleClick Platform Integrations
  • Google Display Network Impression Reporting
  • Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting

By enabling the Google Analytics Display features, we are required to notify our visitors by disclosing the use of these features and that we along with the third-party vendors use first-party cookies like the Google Analytics cookie or other first-party identifiers, and third-party cookies like the DoubleClick cookie or other third-party identifiers together to gather data about your activities on our website. Among other uses, this allows us to contact you if you start to fill out our information or check-out forms but leave it before completion with an email, reminding you to complete your order or information request. The “Remarketing” feature allows us to reach people who visited our website earlier and match the right audience with the right advertising message. This could be in the form of a site in the Google Display Network or an advertisement on the Google search results page. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to Your Dedicated Developers family of websites. It is obvious that any data collected will be used in accordance with our own privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.

You can easily opt-out of Google’s use of cookies or the third-party vendor’s use of cookies by selecting the opt-out from the respective settings or page.

Facebook

We often use Facebook for advertising, whether by Facebook ads or Facebook page, we collect information from a Facebook user and use such information in the same manner specified in this Privacy Policy.

We abide by Facebook’s Data Use Restrictions.

Our Facebook advertising data is only shared with the service provider (someone acting on our behalf). We ensure that our service providers protect any Facebook advertising data or any other information provided by us, limit our use of all that information, and keep it secure and confidential.

We never use Facebook advertising data for purposes like retargeting, mixing data across multiple campaigns. We use this data on an aggregate and anonymous basis (unless authorized by Facebook). This is done only to assess the performance and effectiveness of our Facebook advertising campaigns.

We never use Facebook advertising data (that includes the targeting criteria for a Facebook ad) to build, append, augment, influence, or edit user profiles. User profiles include those profiles which are associated with any mobile device identifier or any other unique identifiers that identify any particular device, computer, user, or browser.

We never transfer any Facebook advertising data that includes aggregate, anonymous, or derived data, to any data broker, ad exchange, ad network, or any other advertising or monetization related service.

Children’s Privacy Statement

With Children’s Privacy Statement we have explained our practices concerning the online collection and use of personal information from children (below 18 years of age). We provide important information regarding the children’s rights under the law with respect to such information.

  • This website is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from children as part of the website. If we notice that we have inadvertently received PII from a user below 18 years of age as part of the site, we will delete such information from our records.
  • We never distribute the PII collected from children to third parties.
  • We never allow children to publicly post or distribute PII through this website.
  • We never condition the children’s participation in the website’s online activities on providing PII.

Cookies

Please note the following:
(a) Third parties may use cookies, web beacons, or any other similar technologies to collect information from your website and anywhere else on the internet and use that information to provide measurement services and target ads.
(b) You can opt-out of the collection as well as the use of information for ad targeting.
(c) You can access a mechanism for exercising such a choice (e.g., providing a link where you can opt-out of a variety of online targeted marketing).

The trade off between privacy vs. commercial efficiency has a long history, for instance, the “Do not call” list. In any event, either the government or the industry will adopt some form of “opt-out” capability in the future to address these concerns.

What are cookies or clear GIFs? How do we use them?

Our website utilizes cookies (standard technologies) like any other commercial websites. It also utilizes clear GIFs to collect information about how our website is used. A cookie refers to a small data text file, which a website stores on your computer’s hard drive (if your web browser permits) that can later be retrieved to identify you to us. Earlier, cookies were designed to help a website recognize a user’s browser as a previous visitor and thus save and remember any preferences that may have been set while the user was browsing the site. A cookie can only be read by the one who sets the cookie rather than by any website. A cookie cannot pass on a computer virus.

Clear GIFs

Sometimes, we work with third-party service partners that employ clear GIFs for our benefit to help us measure advertising effectiveness. Clear GIFs also are known as pixel tags, single-pixel GIFs, web beacons, or action tags are tiny graphics that have a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and used for tracking online movements of our users. The main difference between clear GIFs and cookies is that clear GIFs are invisible on the page and are much smaller, about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. They are not tied to your Personally Identifiable Information, PII, and only track the visitor traffic and behavior to and on our Site. Clear GIFs can work together with existing cookies on a computer if they are both from the same website or advertising company. For instance, that if a person visited a website, which uses an advertising company’s clear GIF, the website would match the advertising company’s cookie ID number and the clear GIFs identifier, to show the past online behavior for that computer. This collection of information can be shared with the advertising company. Sometimes, we provide such information to our third-party advertising service partners.

How Do We Store Your Email Information?

Your email information such as email address and first name is stored at the list server that delivers Your Dedicated Developers newsletters. Only those people can access your information who manage these lists to deliver email to the users who would want to have our newsletter services. All the newsletters that we send you, include an unsubscribe link in them. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter service at any time. If you have purchased any other program, you will continue to receive mailings related to your purchase. If you are an affiliate partner, you will continue to receive mailings related to our affiliate program. If you want to remove any of these mailings, please contact our support team for further assistance.

How Long We’ll Keep Your Information

Our data retention policy keeps your information in line. For instance, if you are a customer, then we will keep core data for 7 years after the end of our relationship. We retain your information to comply with legal or regulatory requirements, or for our legitimate purposes such as responding to inquiries. We may sometimes need to keep the information for a longer period. If we do not need to retain it for as long, we may soon delete or anonymize it.

Retaining information for a longer period helps us to comply with legal and regulatory requirements or use it where we need to for our legitimate purposes like dealing with any inquiries, fighting fraud and crime, etc.
